I have always enjoyed natural stones as well as all forms of art. I began creating and working with my imagination through pencil drawings. Eventually I moved into acrylic and oil painting. Now, I love being able to incorporate art into each jewelry piece that I create. The beauty and energy of the natural stones aids in the creative process. Add metals, such as fine silver or sterling silver and magically transform each into a piece of art jewelry.
Although I am intrigued by many metals: copper, sterling, titanium, pallidum and gold, I work primarily with fine silver in the form of Precious Metal Clay. PMC is so versatile and has endless capabilities. I create jewelry and small sculpture inspired by nature which is reflected in each piece by its form, texture, or content.
Each piece of art is created by hand in my studio in Nashville, TN with the support of my furry family members.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences through teaching and am very comfortable in a workshop setting. It is very exciting to introduce other artists to the possibilities and techniques of Precious Metal Clay. I also teach silversmithing techniques as well.
