I have always enjoyed natural stones as well as all forms of art.  I began creating and working with my imagination through pencil drawings.  Eventually I moved into acrylic and oil painting.  Now, I love being able to incorporate art into each jewelry piece that I create.  The beauty and energy of the natural stones aids in the creative process.  Add metals, such as fine silver or sterling silver and magically transform each into a piece of art jewelry.

I began my rock hound activities at a very young age.  My parents found it somewhat amusing that at 6 years old, I would sell stones on the school bus.  I would share with others my interpretation of the stone and in the process convince them that they needed that particular stone.

At age 44, I continue to admire stones.  I appreciate their beauty and energy whether in polished or rough form.  I can feel their energies just as many others can.  I find natural beauty and peace in each stone.

I create each piece of art by hand in my one-room studio in Nashville, TN.  I have many supportive family members.

For thousands of years, crystals and minerals have been used to symbolize power as well as ornamentation.  Amethyst (and its purple color) in Ancient Egypt was associated with royalty.  Historically many cultures have used and continue to use stones for their energy, healing and protection properties.  Stones appear to have properties which I refer to as Metaphysical properties (as found in faith healing and crystal power.)
