Keum Boo is an Asian technique of applying 24k gold foil to fine silver. In this class the student will create a lightly textured pendant with PMC3 clay. The student will then accent the pendant with the 24k gold foil by using the Keum Boo technique. The class will begin with a short review of PMC. Techniques covered will also include: construction, bail making, sanding, kiln firing, burnishing, Keum Boo, finishing and patina. In addition, you will be free to make other pieces as your time allows. This class is an excellent way to learn about the Keum Boo process and how to create multi metal creations.
